    ——

Jiang Chaosheng had just finished writing four papers using Youdao.1 He was tired from revising them repeatedly. After he finally escaped from the sea of suffering, he opened the school forum to browse around and relax. He clicked on a post at random—however, the more he read, the more he felt that the original poster seemed like Wen Lan.

At first, he was a bit flustered that Wen Lan found out about him secretly kissing him, then he was stupefied by the fact that Wen Lan liked him. When he finally realized that Wen Lan thought he didn’t return his feelings and was debating about breaking up, he couldn’t help but reply.

He couldn’t bear to see Wen Lan sad.

He thought about it—it turned out that Senior Wen Lan does like him.

He couldn’t even sit for another second; he grabbed his phone, keys, and meal card, ran out of the dorm like a gust of wind, and sped downstairs.

Jiang Chaosheng ran all the way under the scorching sun, his neck drenched in sweat, and his shirt was wet as if it had rained, causing the black color to look even darker.

He ran up the stairs, holding the door frame while gasping for breath. When he was about to take out his keys, the door opened.

Wen Lan seemed to be in a hurry to tidy himself up to go out. A strand of hair stood up on his head, his shirt wasn’t properly tucked in, and the wrinkles of his clothes looked a bit strange. He looked up at him with a dazed expression.

Wen Lan had wanted to go find Jiang Chaosheng to clear things up, but he didn’t expect that when he opened the door, Jiang Chaosheng was right in front of him…

After being stunned for a few seconds, he retreated a few steps back and opened the door wide.

After entering the apartment, Jiang Chaosheng poured himself a glass of water, then sat on the couch. He wanted to talk properly with Wen Lan.

Jiang Chaosheng moistened his throat and took a deep breath, yet he didn’t know what to say.

When he was looking down, he caught a glimpse of Wen Lan untied shoelaces.

Perhaps it wasn’t tied tightly and it came loose after a few steps, or maybe Wen Lan was in a hurry to go out and didn’t tie it at all. He put the cup on the coffee table and knelt down, bowing his head to tie Wen Lan’s shoelaces.

After he finished, Jiang Chaosheng sat down beside him, keeping a distance that was neither too far nor too close.

“I never had the intention of making you do my homework.” Not to mention asking Wen Lan to do his roommates homework.

He paused for a moment, then spoke up again, “If you don’t want to help translate, you can refuse from now on….”

Wne Lan gently kicked his calf and let out a muffled “oh.”

He thought he would hear a real confession.

    Hmph, so clueless.

“At first, I couldn’t refuse. I didn’t know how to refuse, nor do I want to refuse…”

“It was too sudden. It, it was my first time being confessed by a guy…” Jiang Chaosheng said unsurely, “It should be considered a confession, right?

“I never thought about whether I liked men or women before.”

“So, I agreed without much thought.” Jiang Chaosheng said in a low voice, “After agreeing, I thought I should take it seriously.”

His tone was earnest as he spoke, “And that I shouldn’t play around.”

Wen Lan kicked him again, then urged him to continue, “Then what?”

“After taking things seriously, I started having feelings.”

Wen Lan stepped on his white sneakers, staining it with dirt, but he was happy inside. “Why didn’t you tell me you like me then.”

“I thought you didn’t like me…” Jiang Chaosheng didn’t mind his shoes getting dirtied, he just indulgently moved his foot a bit closer to him for him to continue. “It seems like there’s not much about me worth your liking.”

Wen Lan looked up at him and suddenly asked, “How many times have you secretly kissed me, huh?”

Jiang Chaosheng was silent for a moment, then he stuttered in reply, “Can’t…I can’t remember anymore…”

Wen Lan had a habit of taking naps in the afternoon. Whether it was in the study room or at the library, on warm summer afternoons, he would always sleep quietly beside Jiang Chaosheng, totally defenseless.

There was no way he could restrain himself.

But he only dared to kiss his forehead; he never touched other places.

Wen Lan gave a light snort. “You would dare kiss me but won’t dare say you like me.”

Jiang Chaosheng didn’t answer, lowering his head as he listened to his scolding. He only slightly shifted his leg closer to Wen Lan again.

Wen Lan’s feet were a bit smaller than his.

Wen Lan wore two different colored socks, and because of how he was sitting, the bottom of his pants rose up a little, revealing a part of his ankle.

    Very cute.

Wen Lan didn’t notice his little movements. Hearing him say so much, he wasn’t angry anymore, rather, he was extremely happy.

Along with a tinge of embarrassment.

He was thinking that it wasn’t easy to hear Jiang Chaosheng say these things, so he should properly respond.

As he thought that, he reached out his hand toward Jiang Chaosheng.

Jiang Chaosheng was slightly stunned; he placed his hand in his palm, then held it.

“Holding hands.” Wen Lan held his hand, his other hand wrapped around Jiang Chaosheng’s neck, turned sideways and hugged him. “Hugging.”

Jiang Chaosheng’s entire body turned rigid, not daring to make a move.

Wen Lan sat on him, then drew near his ear, asking him in a low voice, “And then?”

Both of Wen Lan’s hands were wrapped around his neck, and his warm breath falling on his ear. “Then what should we do next?”

Jiang Chaosheng’s throat tightened. “Close your eyes…”

Not hearing the normal response, Wen Lan let out a “hmm” in confusion.

In the next moment, Jiang Chaosheng somewhat clumsily cupped Wen Lan’s face and kissed him on the lips.

It was a very gentle kiss.

As if the kiss was planted on his heart.
