This is the glossary for terminologies of [Short Story] The Hero and the Dragon God ~ After a Year of Marriage, My Husband Has Never Made a Move on Me, So I Asked Him to Get a Mistress. The glossary is subjected to change~!
TERMINOLOGIES:
Dragon God (竜神, Ryūjin):
– A sacred deity in dragon form who protects the nation.
Magical Beasts (魔獣, Majū):
Monstrous creatures that threaten humanity. Their incursions are blocked by the Dragon God’s power.
Demon Beast King (魔獣の王, Majū no Ō):
The ruler of the magical beasts.
Hero (勇者, Yūsha):
A title bestowed upon the MC after slaying the Beast King. A 25-year-old warrior driven by duty.
Bonded Partner (番, Tsugai):
A sacred pact where the Dragon God shares their power with a chosen human, often framed as a marital bond.
Bonded Pair (めおと, Meoto):
Literally “husband and wife.” It’s a different from Tsugai. Refers to the Hero and Dragon God’s bond.
- To gain the power to protect humanity, the hero entered a marital pact with the nation’s guardian deity—a dragon. A year has passed since then. The dragon, now in human form and wedded to the hero, was growing increasingly frustrated that his younger husband had never once laid a hand on him. After all, the Dragon had been in love with the Hero for ten years—ever since he first saw him. On their first wedding anniversary, resigned to the fact that their relationship remains stagnant—a marriage in contract only—the dragon urges the hero to “take a lover.” However, at that moment, the Hero made up his mind and invited the Dragon into the bedroom.
