Yan Xu had always been a marginal figure in the family since he was young. His mom doesn’t love him, his brother doesn’t care about him, and his stepdad treated him as an outsider.

On his birthday, his mom told him to come home for a meal, and even told him to pick up the cake she ordered at the dessert shop.

Yan Xu was immensely happy; this was the first time in over twenty years that his mom remembered his birthday and celebrated it for him.
